Extension of SVHC candidate list by ECHA
The EU directive 1907/2006 for registration, validation, approval and restriction of chemical substances (REACH directive) acts for securing of a high protective standard for human health and environment. Besides of the liabilities for registration for chemical substances it also provides for duties to inform about specifically alarming substance within the products.
The ECHA (European Chemical Agency) in Helsinki has published a new and extended approval candidate list on 13th January, 2010. This candidate list was extended by 14 specifically alarming substances (SVHC – substances of very high concern), so that totally 29 substances are listed there now. The duty to inform still exists towards the purchaser, if more than 0.1 mass percentages of these substances are contained within the products.
We are pleased to inform you that also after extension of this candidate list, the compositions sold by us, either as supplier or as importer are furthermore excluded from liability of registration.
We herewith ensure that we are constantly checking the ingredients in co-operation with our suppliers. In case of exceeding of such limiting values, we are going to take respective steps at once.
